Late 1980’s – Early 1990’s – exhibited in various group and juried shows at the Arlington Arts Center, Torpedo Factory, McLean Project for the Arts, and Fairfax County Courthouse.
he has taken numerous art courses over the decades, including classes with the Corcoran School of Art, Art League of Northern Virginia, Smithsonian Associates, and McLean Project for the Arts and studied under Rebecca Davenport and Rob Vander Zee. Influenced by photo realism and intrigued with creating hand-made photographs, much of his work has been documentary in content, freezing ordinary people in moments of time. Building on this concept his art is moving toward combining interwoven vignettes, multiple layers of paint, and mixed media, with emphasis on surface, texture, imagery and interrelationships.
